Shalom and welcome. So who am I?
I’m a storyteller who is forever curious about storytelling as a phenomena and keep myself busy researching it, taking it’s components apart and pushing my nose into every corner that makes me believe I’ll find something in. Storytellers enchant me and above all I know and do, if you promise me to tell a story, I’ll rush to sit in front of your face.
I was born in Israel and raised in London as the daughter of a diplomat. Although an early experience, this way of life gave me a good peek into the heart of human motivation. Striving to understand what makes people do what they do is the center of everything with which I am involved. My own experience with the complexity of bilingualism and multiculturalism eventually evolved into my ability to connect diversities. I move with ease between western and eastern environments with great respect for both, incorporating different techniques and fields of knowledge. I hold a leading position in the modern Israeli storytelling scene and am well known for my ability to lead workshops dealing with high sensitivity and confliction.
I’m the author of the book Stories at Work, about the everyday use of stories in personal and professional life (Hebrew).
Just as I’m a storyteller, I’m a musician - I direct an orchestra and play medieval reed instruments and the oboe. Member and program writer for the award-winning Duo Renaissance ensemble, performing early music and stories.
I’m a certified professional coach, graduate of the ICA - International Coach Academy. My business company - Interpersonal Arts - is involved with teaching the art of storytelling, storytelling in organizations which I call story-work and research.
The research part of the business focuses both on the art and it’s applications, especially with what concerns organizations, the media, gaming and virtual worlds. I think it is my responsibility to deal with these issues as a storyteller so my art will not end up as a tool alone.
Member of the Israeli Storytelling Assembly, the National Storytelling Network (USA) and the Storytelling In Organizations special interest group.
And above all, a single mother to three beautiful daughters. I share my life with a gorgeous partner and he too is a storyteller. Well, storytellers are fun and profound people to be next to…
Hi,
I work for the National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia PA. We are looking for Jewish Storytellers for spring programming as well as for one of our other program and I am wondering where you are located. I couldn’t find it written on your site.
